Work is a Game.

Let’s Change the Rules.

Is your work working for you?  Whether your are an entrepreneur, a member of a giant company or someone considering reentering the workforce, you are playing some version of the game we all call “work”.

How would you like this game to be easier to play?  How would you like this game to actually be FUN?

This can happen!  In order to change the game you first have to change the rules.  That’s where I can help.  Using Playful Prototyping, we can redesign your work to work better for you.  The techniques are easy, efficient and yes, fun.

Playful Prototyping might be for you if:

  • You are considering making a big change such as starting a business, leaving for another job, or re-entering the workforce.
  • You are nervous about how this change will impact your life.
  • You are bored, stressed, or otherwise discontented with your work life.
  • You are committed to changing the rules of your work game in order to lead a happier, more fulfilled life.
  • You are someone who is doing good work in the world (or wishes they were).
  • You are a visual and/or tactile thinker.
  • You are ready to try something new (that works!)

If any of the above sounds like you, take me up on my free 30 minute consultation.  We’ll discuss the ways we can change the rules to your particular game and see if we are a good fit for each other.

Victoria Canter

I was skeptical that something as outside the box as Space for Play would be helpful, but it was!

Heather's intuition was spot on in giving me the tools I needed to make progress toward my goal, and the game she created was a beautiful and functional way to keep working after our session.

I used this tool to look at some long-standing internal blocks to success. I saw connections I already knew on one level, but seeing them all together was a real eye-opener. Now I really know on a visceral level what's been holding me back, and I can start to work on shifting these long-standing beliefs.

Heather Logas is on a mission.  She wants to create Game Changers – a special stock of people who can take the rules they are given and reconfigure them in forward thinking ways.   To do this, Heather has developed the Playful Prototyping method for problem solving.  Borrowing from her extensive background in game and system design, Playful Prototyping allows individuals and teams to create tactile models of systems, examine the rules at play, and change them in a productive manner.
Change the rules, change the game.
Heather Logas has an MS. in Information Design and Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MFA in Digital Arts and New Media from UC Santa Cruz.  In addition to teaching Playful Prototyping to individuals and organizations, she works with local youth to teach game-making and create Game Changers from a young age.  She lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with her husband, two kids and their dog Ace, the Bat Hound.
Heather is currently available for individual and business consulting, workshops and speaking engagements.
